Summary:

The book is about a boy who ran away from school and an old lady found him and took  him in her house and told him a story about her husband Bertie, Bertie lived in Africa and lived in a compound and one day Bertie found a white lion cub, and he raised him. when the lion was too big they took him too a circus and the white lion was in the circus for many years in France meanwhile Bertie was sent to boarding school in England and he met Millie and they flew kites together. when they were older Bertie went to the army for world war 2 and Bertie helped save his two best friends and he got a Victoria cross award. after that he saw Millie again and she worked as a nurse in the hospital. Bertie and Millie walked threw the town in France and they found the white lion. after they found the lion they took him home to England and he lived in the park for many years. he then grew old and died so they took this special chalk and engraved it were they buried the lion.

Lesson from book:
Never give up no matter what the circumstance is.

My feelings about the book:
this book is super easy to read and is very interesting because you get to read Millie and Berties side of the story.

Our Visit To The Sinai Academy

Last week we visited the Sinai Academy in Bloubergrant. It was a very interesting. and we learnt a lot about Judaism. We talked about how the boys have to wear a kippah when they go to a synagogue.we read something out of the torah. And then Rabi blew the Ram`s Horn and told us about Rosh Hashanah. We also celebrated Shabbat and had some Challah Bread and grape juice. We also looked at all the scrolls.The scrolls were really big.before we left the Synagogue we put a coin in a box and then when the box is full they give the box of coins to someone who needs it.  I loved the visit to Sinai Academy. I hope we can come again!

The grade 4 camp

Last week we were on camp.We went to Simonsberg and the Giraffe house. We went on a huge bus to the Giraffe house to stop of and we saw some llamas and fed some goats.We also watched a reptile show. After that we went back on the bus to go to Simonsberg camp. When we arrived we played stuck in the mud.We did some team building activities such as building forts in the forest,Elkanahs got talent,zip lining and played in a mud pit. On Friday it was home time we packed all our bags on the bus and went back to school where our parents came to fetch us.We were so tired after camp.
